Last month (March 2017), as the world celebrated Women’s History Month, the dexterity of women was no less in doubt. It provided the perfect setting for Bank & Entrepreneur Africa’s maiden SME Women 100 series, which features 100 very diverse female -owned companies in Nigeria: serving their niches with diligence, building brands, breaking industry barriers, and scaling towards becoming tomorrow’s household names.

We have compiled a truly rounded list of women from across the country and across industries, in collaboration with: Dr. Friday Okpara (SMEDAN); Shade Ladipo (WEConnect); Adenike Adeyemi (FATE Foundation); Hajia Zainab Jaji (AWEP); Ndidi Nwuneli (LEAP Africa); Bunmi Lawson (ACCION Microfinance); Chief Ada Ozongwu (NAWE);  Paddy Anigbo (TEDLagos), Pamela Braide, and Meekam Mgbenwelu.

The Golden Age for women entrepreneurs is definitely here. There is more focus on hearing what they have to offer, and recognising the value of investing in them.
